Somatic Experiencing® Script Disclaimer

These Somatic Experiencing–informed scripts are offered for educational and supportive purposes only. They are not a substitute for psychotherapy, medical care, psychiatric treatment, or crisis intervention.
Somatic work can gently bring awareness to sensations, emotions, or memories held in the body. While this can be supportive and regulating for many people, individual responses vary. You are encouraged to move at your own pace, pause or stop at any time, and choose only what feels safe and manageable for your nervous system.
These scripts are not intended for use during moments of acute distress, crisis, or active trauma processing without the support of a trained mental health professional. If you have a history of severe trauma, dissociation, panic, or medical concerns, please consult with your licensed provider before engaging in somatic practices on your own.
By choosing to engage with these materials, you acknowledge responsibility for your own well-being and agree to listen to your body’s cues—resting when needed, skipping what doesn’t feel right, and honoring your boundaries.
If at any point you feel overwhelmed, disoriented, or unsafe, please stop the practice and seek support. Do not drive or operate machinery while in use.
